The Social Network still remains a significant film

Facebook chief Zuckerberg posts manifesto defending social media

Facebook co-founder Mark Zuckerberg mounted a broad defence of social media on Thursday, taking on growing concerns about his company’s contribution to everything from recruitment by terrorists to the spread of fake news.

In a 5,700 word treatise posted on the social network, the 32-year-old founder also laid out ideas that could lead Facebook increasingly into new forms of social engineering, as it intervenes more directly to ensure that interactions on its site do not have negative effects.

Mark Zuckerberg’s social network accounts hijacked by bragging hackers

Not even Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg is safe from cyber-attacks. The billionaire has had his (non-Facebook) social networking accounts temporarily taken over by the hacker group OurMine, who bragged about it in the hijacked feeds.
Tweeting to its 41,000 Twitter followers, the group claimed Sunday to have compromised Zuck’s LinkedIn, Twitter, Instagram and Pinterest accounts. Some were apparently defaced purely for bragging rights. It is not known whether any other accounts or email also suffered, according to Engadget.

Zuckerberg at Samsung UNPACKED: VR is the next social

It isn't unusual for Samsung to summon experts and giant personalities on stage to help it market its newest smartphones. But when it comes to its VR products, it needed a stronger push. When it first unveiled the Gear VR, it had game development luminary John Carmack of DOOM fame make the tech spiel. This year, Carmack's boss is the one doing the talking. At Samsung's UNPACKED event at MWC 2016, Facebook CEO Mark Zuckerberg went on stage not only to "sell" the Gear VR, which was made together with Oculus, but to emphasize the connection between Facebook and this new VR hype.
